Brushstrokes
Brushstrokes of Bobcaygeon is a collective of progressive female artists that paint in a variety of mediums. The group formed in 2003 when several of the ladies were painting in watercolour and taking lessons at Settlers Village. They found that classes did not give them enough time to finish their paintings and they needed a communal space to not only work on their projects, but they needed each other to give suggestions or help in the final stages. They found strength in sharing their skills, stories, friendships and their lives with each other. As a group they brought in guest Professional Artists for workshops and new ideas of how to improve their own skills.
