Works From Home Featured Artist - Marcus Leydolt
The journey of this gifted artist began at the early age of 3. While playing with tempera paints, Markus displayed to his parents a raw, natural ability for expressing himself through art—a talent deeply-rooted on both sides of his family. These creative inspirations would lead him to showcase his work at 9 years of age in the “Young at Art” section of the Kawartha Arts Festival.

After Completing a Fine Arts Degree in St. Louis, Missouri, Linda explored the human body through drawing, photography and installation works. As an artist and teacher of Visual and Media art, clay has become her primary vehicle of expression.

Lesley Drummond is an artist, educator and curator who has been actively involved in the Arts community of Kawartha Lakes since 1985. Currently on the Board of the Kawartha Lakes Arts Council and Director of the Kawartha Arts Network since 2007, she is based in Janetville.

Joy McCallister is a Nova Scotia born artist who lives in the village of Kirkfield in Ontario’s Kawartha Lakes area. She has lived in Nova Scotia, Quebec, and Ontario. Joy’s inspirations for her artwork come from her love of music and nature, her background in dance, and her roots in Canada’s Maritimes.

I have been active in the arts community since I moved to Lindsay from Sweden. I have taught art, photography and media at LCVI and I. E. Weldon, and I have been involved with the Kawartha Arts Network since its inception.
