Something extraordinary is about to land in downtown Lindsay.
Local artists have transformed simple wooden birdhouses into one-of-a-kind works of art, each bursting with creativity, colour, and personality. From whimsical designs to nature-inspired masterpieces, every handcrafted birdhouse is as unique as the artist who created it.
Beginning this summer, these remarkable creations will appear in retail storefronts throughout downtown Lindsay, inviting visitors to discover them one by one while exploring the downtown core.
Then the excitement takes flight.

Downtown Lindsay Block Party – Kent Street
At 12:00 noon, ten spectacular birdhouses will go under the hammer during a live auction. Whether you're an art collector, bird lover, or simply looking for a truly unique piece for your home or garden, this is your chance to take one home while supporting an important community cause.
The remaining birdhouses will be available through an online auction, closing September 15, 2026, giving everyone an opportunity to bid.
Every purchase helps support Kawartha Art Gallery's youth arts programming, ensuring more young people have opportunities to explore creativity through arts and culture.
