Reflections from the Watersheds of Time in 2121

Reflections from the Watersheds of Time in 2121 – An Open ONLINE Juried Art Exhibition

Kawartha Art Gallery’s first ever online and themed juried exhibit invited artists to tell a new story, to imagine what balanced, sustainable, equitable, and abundant communities will look like 100 years from now.

Technological and social advances build upon ideas, and the best ideas come from envisioning the future and we hoped to inspire works that drew on the artists most utopian visions or dystopian warnings.

An opportunity to address the role the Kawartha Lakes has in defining our role as environmental stewards through the educational and civic programs that are available in our community, the School of Environmental & Natural Resource Sciences, Frost Campus Fleming College, the City of Kawartha Lakes and Kawartha Art Gallery, co-presented this speculative design initiative on Climate Futures.
