Portrait #8 by Barb Lougheed
This is about how we fall short of what we intend. The creature is sitting or lying, it’s hard to tell, in an Easy Boy in a dull, washed out room. The creature is round like a football with no signs of life but a row of toes that aren’t taking it anywhere. The one piece of paraphernalia is a Diet coke, the ever useful tool for all we rationalizers that enables us to believe we’re making up for our lack of exercise and too many chips.
