Donations as Moments in Time – Our Time Capsule Donor Wall

We know that history contains moments of time collected and curated that make their way through the generations to create memories, stories and legacy. Moments of time woven together are what we envision for our donor wall to support the new Kawartha Art Gallery space at 19 Cambridge! Building on the donations noted in time and place will tell a story of opening new doors for exploring and discovering art within our community and surrounding area.

The time capsule is leading up to our opening day and we look forward to recognizing any and all support for how we are going to celebrate our bright, modern new space!

Support for art galleries has long been known to foster community and a sense of connection with both residents and visitors. Not only do we connect artists to communities but we are the link between visitors, residents and our town.

For Artists

Donations to the Time Capsule Donor Wall will support Kawartha Art Gallery in providing a fresh, new Gallery space for artists to be discovered, share their skills and sell their works.

For The Community

As we move towards opening our doors to the new space, the Time Capsule moves us closer to facilitating new opportunities for both the residents of Kawartha Lakes as well as visitors to our area to engage with artists and art. Being the conduit for others to experience a vibrant and cultural destination allows our area to become more diverse to further build on our identity. Having a sense of pride for where we live means our town and surrounding area can be a place of conversation allowing others to discover what we have to offer.

Represent and Support

The Kawartha Art Gallery has long supported various artists through exhibitions, programs and partnerships. As a result, our gallery becomes a hub for the community, facilitating meet-ups, workshops, classes and collaborations. At the Gallery we wear many hats, and having support for the new space means we can extend programming, help artists grow their careers, and further bring attention to our community to reach a larger audience.

During Elayne Windsor’s Manifestations exhibit, Kawartha Art Gallery had the pleasure of a visit from Sherri Brenneman’s class from I.E. Weldon. All of which helps inspire and support potential young artists!

Events and Shows

With the help of new donors to support the new space, we hope to offer the Gallery for special events and shows. If you are a business, sponsorships mean your brand can align with the Gallery to support a particular event. This is a great way to associate with something that can elevate and promote your brand to customers and prospects. At the same time, this increases exposure for the Gallery.

David Cowdery, the Business Advisor and Program Manager for LAUNCH Kawartha @klcfdc presented his stART-up program at a Kawartha Art Gallery Artist Network meeting. A good example of how the space can be utilized for a variety of events and programs.

Joining Forces

We look to those who will support our Time Capsule Donor Wall because when we combine forces, whether you are a business or private donor, you will be providing a cultural future for not just the gallery but our community as a whole. Building a legacy through gallery donation means you help enable someone to see the world from a new perspective. Because our gallery is smaller, donors have the opportunity to make more of a profound impact.

If you would like to have a conversation around how to contribute to our Time Capsule, we would love to show you our vision for how the new space will come together. Everyone should have access to art. Your financial consideration will enhance our ability to educate future generations. When our Time Capsule ultimately connects all the moments in time at opening, we will have impacted the direction of history for art in our community! Imagine how mere moments can shape and amplify expression through art!

Be part of our legacy through the “Time Capsule” Donor Wall. All contributions support the gallery relocation and growth. Tell others and help us grow into the wonderful art and culture destination our area deserves!
