Artist Statement: I took a picture of this landscape and used it for this assignment. The landscape has a row of trees in the background and a pathway leading down to the water but the path got cut off. On the side of the ledge there are plants and grass with a clear sky. The central idea of my work is to show a difference between sky and ground. I tried to use different colour values to show the different parts of the sky and the land. I was inspired by J.E.H MacDonald of the Group of Seven. I set a goal to produce a painting and of all the things I have learned this year, I achieved what I was going for.
