Chris LaBonte
I am an artist and musician with over 30 years of experience in the animation, television and feature industry. I have worked throughout Canada, the United States and Asia. At this point in my career, I have decided to devote more of my time and energy to my personal work. I lean toward the macabre and folkloric side of art. My work has been referred to as 'luminous dark art with a pop twist' as I cannot help bringing to bear my experience in working in popular culture. I work in a lot of media but am concentrating on hand-painted digital work that can be easily made into high quality prints for physical presentation. My family and I have realized a long anticipated dream and moved to the Kawarthas. I frequently feature locations that I have discovered here in my paintings. I look forward to finding my audience in this inspirational part of the world.
