Flamboyant Summer

Born in Montreal, artist Kelly Albin graduated from a fine arts high school in Ontario and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from the University of New Brunswick. She worked as a forester in northern British Columbia where her vision of art and nature took shape for “creatively maneuvering this life”. Kelly has participated in art shows, throughout Canada, and her art has been featured in numerous print publications. She has recently completed an artist residency in Portugal. Kelly works in a variety of media and can be found in her Kawartha Lakes home studio.

Art is my visual journey, my preferred way of communication. My subject matter varies, but I am heavily influenced by the world around me and my connections to it. The beauty of the natural world is my inspiration and my solace. Through my art I strive to tell the stories of my world view, with the dialogue being between me and a blank canvas, with the viewer hopefully being drawn into the conversation.
