I have been an βartistβ my entire life. Creating is as important to me as breathing.
I was born in British Guiana and emigrated to Canada with my family when I was 8. We lived in Montreal, NDG.
Through the decades I have βworkedβ with many medium, water colour, oil, acrylic, print making, papier mache, etc.
I taught Art in Montreal, Germany, and Port Perry at the high school level. One of the greatest challenges and rewards was to have my students become better than they thought possible. I enjoyed teaching βtill my last day. My fascination and enjoyment of drawing the figure began at Concordia with a prof, Philip Surrey. My current drawings are an evolution from a desire to capture the realism of the figure to a much more fluid and active depiction. The general reaction to my paintings and drawings is that there is a uniqueness to the image, style, use of colour that is clearly my own. I have often been told that my work is easily identified.

Creating is as important to me as breathing. My current drawings are an evolution from a desire to capture the realism of the figure to a much more fluid and active depiction. The process is very quick as I try to capture the immediacy of the pose or action shown. The general reaction to my paintings and drawings is that there is a uniqueness to the image, style, use of colour that is clearly my own.
